A Day with Dad

This is an email I received from John on Sunday night. I can't tell you how much I love Love LOVE to get these messages throughout the day when I'm away.

"Good Moirning love,

 We had a wonderful day puttering about doing this and that.  After a short nap we looked for bio blocks at Tractor supply with no luck.  Then off to the YC to look for a spinnaker pole of Thayers and many many laps around the YC lawn, beach and deck.  Actually not much interest in leaving.  But alas we did and stopped at Lois's to reprovision for the next act.  The childrens museum.  When we arrived we went to the head and washed and the over to the restaurant and had a snack.  A mother came up and complemented me on having a cute boy I thanked her.  But what do you do in that situation where you can not really return the compliment as it would be an untruth?  Still trying to figure that one out. They had a whale exhibit with a life size blow up humpback whale.  That was sort of entertaining for the Boy but the cone of wind was again the winner of the trip.  The stud also had a 17 month old chasing him around.  We then detoured to Trader Joes and got some supplies and a new soft cheese to try. We left there and went to Cabelas to return the air rifle and get a more realistic one.  And of course we had to look at the fish, the zebras, the moose, the rhino and the baboon.  We came home and sat in front of the fire and did some drawing, daddy called and talked to him briefly, got an egg, gave the chickens some water, had dinner (lentil soup) got changed for bed, read some books and, I thought it might be a difficult sleep, was a quick one and he was out by 8. I squirted a plastic vial of the tooth stuff into his mouth as the instructions stated.

 Oh so when Finn and I where last at Cabelas we went straight to the family bathroom when we got there as we both had to go.  I went first and was peeing while Finn was in the cart. Finn figured out how to override the light switch sensor and plunged the bathroom into total darkness.  So again today we go in and he remembers and is about toy do it when I ask him no please.  And then I said "even if it is funny" to wit he replied "funny" and then laughed.
