We spent more than a week with my dearest friend Lizzy. We rode the city bus here and there, strolled to this playground and that, visited the coffee shop many times a day (where he sipped his baby chinos), we encountered the Mummers Day Parade (perhaps once and for all). But mostly it was just fun to play and be silly.
These were the first days that he thought it real and true fun to slide down the slide time and time again without coaxing. It was also the first time he took to the idea of role play. We played coffee shop and politely took orders of tea and bagels, some with honey and cream, others with lemon, butter, jam, even nutella (in honor of Daddy), served of course with a napkin.

Lizzy is having a baby and while we were close in college, taking nothing seriously in life at the age of 19 is different from motherly play. I think we both enjoyed seeing each other in a new and different light.
And after an entire day of awesome play. There was a minor meltdown followed by a major nap.
